Field Responsibilities

  • Regularly inspect plant equipment using the Field Operation Checklist and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Offload Sodium Bicarbonate solution from ISO tankers.
  • Use a forklift to move fly ash bins and scrap drum bins.
  • Check the scrubber inlet for salt, monitor scrubber water pH, inspect sump pits, feeding pump areas, tank farm, kiln gap, and ash conveyor.
  • Support the Boiler Technician with tasks like clearing fire tubes, starting the turbine, replacing filters, and cleaning the filter press.
  • Keep all pumps in good working condition and maintain a clean work area.
  • Operate the crane to load sludge bags into the hopper.
  • Inspect waste from drums, bags, bins, and loose waste.
  • Clean the ram feeder and hopper regularly.
  • Maintain good housekeeping before handing over at the end of each shift.
  • Collect weekly and ad-hoc samples for the lab when needed.

Plant Operation Control

  • Monitor plant operations and solve problems such as poor atomization flow.
  • Ensure feeding pumps work properly and keep the area clean.
  • Record operating parameters to track plant performance.
  • Make sure incinerator parameters are within proper working limits.

Requirements:

  • NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • At least 2years of experience in the oil or petrochemical industry.
  • Good understanding of process plant operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work well in a team.
  • Willing to work rotating shifts.
  • Basic computer skills.
