We are seeking a skilled Pulmonary Function Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic tests to assess lung function and support the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive pulmonary function testing, including spirometry, lung volume measurements, diffusion capacity assessments, bronchial challenge tests, and cardiopulmonary exercise testing
  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of sophisticated medical equipment to maintain testing accuracy
  • Guide patients through procedures, providing clear explanations and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout all testing processes
  • Maintain detailed patient records, including medical histories, procedural checklists, and test results with high attention to accuracy
  • Strictly follow infection control protocols, privacy guidelines, and safety standards
  • Manage administrative duties, including inventory control and support for Urea breath testing
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Life Sciences, or related fields
  • Strong technical aptitude with ability to operate complex medical equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of pulmonary anatomy, physiology, and testing protocols is advantageous (comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided)
