The individual will have at least 5-7 years experience of heading a bond broker desk or bond sales team or being in the #2 position as assistant Head, preferably, but not necessarily, in Asia. Cognizant of "IDB" protocols, screen matching and link etiquette, candidates should have multiple bank relationships at the Head of Trading level and below.
An existing team of brokers will report to you and you will be responsible for growing the desk`s reach of clients and developing new areas of the Asian & Middle East credit space.
The Amstel Group is a privately owned institutional brokerage and has been headquartered in Singapore since 2012. It has been a successful Asian IDB for 20 years with particular focus on Asian Sovereign bonds, SE Asian IG, India IG, Korea IG and Global Financials. The Head of Desk position will have multiple Asian financial centers within the Group linking to the desk and will be required to manage and strengthen these regional relationships.
The position is Singapore-based, suits candidates who enjoy a challenge, are mature and know how to grow and incentivise a team. At the Managing Director level, the base salary offered is very competitive with an aggressive success bonus incentive scheme.
