What you will be working on:
  • Be responsible for the operation and maintenance of XBRL filing of financial statements. o Provide technical and operational support to both external and internal stakeholders o Review and process business rule exemptions within the established KPIs o Follow up on erroneous filing, where applicable o Responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of XBRL taxonomy o Draft practice guidance/directions on requirements of XBRL filing
    • Assist in the applications for exemption from financial reporting requirements in the Companies Act and VCC Act within the established KPIs, where applicable.
    • Participate in implementation of various system or project initiatives relating to financial reporting or financial statements filing.
    • Support the department administration including review access rights of systems, arrangements of meetings, organisation of events, etc.
    • Any other duties assigned, including surveillance or accounting standards setting related assignments, such as conducting environmental scanning of financial reporting related information and localisation of accounting standards.
What we are looking for:
  • Professional Qualification in Accountancy
    • Exposure to working with systems is an advantage
    • Good communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
    • Meticulous with excellent analytical skills.
    • Good project management skills and the ability to take initiative
    • Strong interpersonal skills; able to deal with the various stakeholders of the financial reporting ecosystem
    • Able to work both independently and in project teams
