About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team at Drs Jiten and Caroline Medical Centre in the Central Region. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a professional and compassionate manner. This full-time role is an integral part of our healthcare services and will play a key role in supporting our medical professionals.

What you'll be doing

Greet and welcome patients, putting them at ease during the blood collection process Correctly identify patients and obtain relevant medical history Expertly draw blood samples using sterile techniques and appropriate equipment Properly label, package and transport blood samples to the laboratory Maintain detailed records and documentation of all blood draws Ensure the phlebotomy area is clean, organised and well-stocked Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and infection control procedures

What we're looking for

Formal qualification in phlebotomy or equivalent healthcare experience Demonstrated expertise in performing venipunctures and micro-collection techniques Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure Compassionate and empathetic approach when working with patients Proficient in using phlebotomy equipment and medical software systems Commitment to adhering to all relevant safety and quality standards
