What you'll do:

As an Investment Equity Derivatives Analyst, you will be deeply involved in supporting the end-to-end process of equity derivatives trading. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting with trade execution, managing client interactions, and ensuring all post-trade activities are completed accurately. You will collaborate with various internal teams-sales, trading, structuring, middle office, and treasury-to deliver exceptional service while maintaining high standards of compliance. In addition to core duties, you will have opportunities to participate in system enhancement projects that leverage technology for improved business outcomes. Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning within a dynamic financial environment.

  • Assist the sales team by efficiently handling daily trade flows and responding promptly to client requests, including pricing, executions, and trade booking activities.
  • Collaborate closely with traders and structurers to originate new equity derivatives trades that meet client needs and market demands.
  • Supervise the post-trade process by liaising with internal stakeholders such as trading desks, middle office teams, and treasury departments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate actively in ad hoc projects, including testing enhancements or changes on business-related systems to improve operational workflows.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure timely resolution of any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the trade lifecycle.
  • Support the implementation of new tools or processes aimed at optimising efficiency within the sales support function.
  • Contribute insights during team meetings regarding market trends or client feedback to help shape future product offerings.
  • Utilise advanced Excel skills and database knowledge (such as Access) to analyse data sets relevant to equity derivatives trading activities.
