Main Tasks and Responsibilities
As a Vita Coco Financial Analyst, you will be a critical member of the Finance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely delivery of financial results for Global Supply Chain and the APAC region. This role plays a key part in the month-end close process, actively contribute to the efficiency and speed of the month-end close, ensuring the timely delivery of highly accurate financial results, focusing on maintaining data integrity and transforming raw financial data into actionable business insights that drive efficiency and informed decision-making.
1. Month-end Finance Reporting
- Accurately prepare and process all key accruals, including Commercial Trade, Marketing, SG&A and Royalty Fees, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Execute the full month-end close cycle, preparing timely and accurate Draft and Final P&L (including detailed Profit Centre, APAC Markets, and Supply Chain) for Manager's review prior to GL close.
- Assist the monthly full-year forecasting process, developing and consolidating financial forecast templates and ensuring timely data input into the TM1 system for planning.
- Conduct in-depth variance analysis across key financial metrics (e.g., Sales, Volume, Price/Mix, and Ocean Freight) for manager's review.
- Manage data integrity by extracting, validating, and distributing essential reports from SAP and the Container Log, ensuring data reliability for team analysis.
2. Master Data
- Drive the transformation and maintenance of Finance Master Data for Vendors, Nodes, std price, carriers, region, SKU details for AMS finance team usage.
- Support the transformation and maintenance of SAP Pricing Data summary.
- Own the centralized Master Data for Ocean Freight.
- Collaborate in the transformation and maintenance of other master data such as ocean freight data, Coconut Master Data, Sales, SG&A.
3. Ocean Freight Data
a. Reporting & Integrity:
- Responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our ocean freight data and financial data. You will also work closely with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure efficient processing and reporting of ocean freight costs.
- Prepare weekly reports summarizing freight cost status for relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure timely update of Global Container Log with order lines information, carriers, ETD, ETA and freight cost
- Proactively review and follow up with the logistics and supply chain teams for missing shipment information such as rates availability, order lines, container numbers, bill of lading numbers, and freight invoices.
b. Reconciliation:
- Reconcile inbounded shipments with Supply Chain and Markets.
- Follow up on outstanding freight cost invoices with the logistics team.
- Proactively review and follow up with the logistics and supply chain teams for missing shipment information such as rates availability, order lines, container numbers, bill of lading numbers, and freight invoices.
c. Process/System Improvement:
- Work on integrating current freight process with new system.
4. Complete ad-hoc projects and tasks assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to learn and with a "can do" attitude.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Possess strong skills in MS Excel (Pivot tables, V-lookups, X-lookups, Power Query).
- Experience with SAP and TM1 is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
Experience:
Minimum 2 to 4 years of relevant working experience in Finance or Accounting roles.
