As an expert consultant to bakeries, you will oversee various aspects of production, recipe development and quality control to ensure the creation of high-quality pastry and bread products. Your role will involve both operational management and innovation to drive consistency, creativity and will also contribute to the company's growth and menu items that appeal to a diverse customers' base.
Key Responsibilities:
➊ Production & Quality Control
● Oversee the entire bread and pastry production cycle, from ingredient scaling and mixing through fermentation, proofing, baking and finishing.
● Continuously monitor and assess dough consistency, fermentation progress and final product quality across central kitchen and outlets.
● Enforce strict quality control standards aligned with company's expectations.
➋ Training & Staff Development
● Develop and conduct trainings for bakers and production staffs on techniques, standards and recipes.
● Provide ongoing support and mentorship to bakery staffs, reinforcing best practices in both production techniques and product presentation.
➌ Recipe Development & Innovation
● Lead and collaborate with the team to research, create and test new recipes, flavours and product designs.
● Assist in creating promotional strategies that highlight new items, leveraging their potential to boost sales.
➍ Product & Crisis Management
● Provide hands-on support during production peaks, staff shortages or emergencies to ensure seamless operations without compromising quality.
➎ Collaborate & Continuous Improvement
● Partner with the bakery management to analyze production workflows, identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
● Support strategic initiatives such as ingredient sourcing, cost optimization and new equipment implementation.
Requirements & Skills:
● SINGAPOREANS ONLY
● Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a professional bakery, patisserie or high-volume central kitchen environment.
● Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity, with a demonstrated ability to train, mentor and inspire a team.
● Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, food safety standards and production efficiency.
● Creative and innovative mindset with a proven track record in recipe development.
● Excellent problem-solving and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
● Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
● Must be collaborative, hands-on leader, willing to work alongside with the production team.
● Willing and able to commit to early morning shifts, as early as 1.00am - to oversee the full production cycle (Company will reimburse transport claim/ arrange transport for staff residing in West Area/ within the factory's vicinity).
