Costing and Estimating Engineer for Aerospace MRO

Responsibilities

  • Interpret project drawings and specifications to propose cost-efficient solutions for tool and equipment fabrication or procurement.
  • Deliver accurate and timely quotes for tooling and ground support equipment, including modifications and repair projects.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams—engineering, operations, sourcing, and commercial—to ensure estimates reflect both technical compliance and financial targets.
  • Prepare precise and competitive cost estimates for both standard and tailored components, with a strong emphasis on tooling used in defense and aerospace applications.
  • Maintain a strong focus on analysis and precision, ensuring all proposals meet the highest standards of detail and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field.
  • At least 3-4 years of estimation and costing experience in an MRO, machining or tooling facility.
  • GD&T , heat treatment knowledge is an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable in the local and international aviation standards.
