Position: Secondary English & Chemistry Teacher

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to teach Secondary English (Sec 1–4) and Secondary Chemistry (Sec 3–4).

This role is ideal for someone confident in both language arts and science, who enjoys helping teens understand difficult concepts in clear, relatable ways.


Responsibilities

Teaching & Curriculum Delivery

  • Teach Secondary English and/or Chemistry classes according to MOE/SEAB syllabus.
  • Deliver engaging, structured lessons using Schoolwerks' lesson frameworks.
  • Provide clear explanations, model answers, and exam strategies.
  • Assign, mark, and review worksheets, essays, and structured questions.
  • Prepare students for Weighted Assessment/Semester Assessment and national exams (N/O Levels).

Student Progress & Communication

  • Track learning progress and provide feedback to students.
  • Communicate important updates to parents when needed.
  • Maintain positive classroom management and rapport with students.

Centre Duties

  • Support curriculum refinement and development of teaching materials.
  • Attend team meetings, training sessions, and teacher development workshops.
  • Ensure lessons start on time and maintain professional conduct at all times.

Requirements
  • Degree in English, Literature, Science, Chemistry, Education, or related fields.
  • Strong content mastery for both English and Chemistry (training provided).
  • Prior teaching/tutoring experience preferred.
  • Clear communication, patience, and a passion for helping students improve.
  • Responsible, punctual, and able to commit to scheduled classes.

Work Schedule
  • Weekday evenings (1pm to 9pm)
