Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between customers, workshop teams, and testing departments, ensuring instructions are accurately converted into internal work instructions.
  • Manage test planning, internal communications, and workflow to achieve smooth operations and exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Translate customer requirements into clear internal instructions aligned with quotations, specifications, and standards.
  • Provide technical input to the Sales Administration Department for precise scoping of quotations and work orders.
  • Liaise with customers to clarify test requirements, provide technical guidance, and resolve queries on sample preparation, testing methods, and turnaround times.
  • Coordinate job scheduling between Workshop and Test Departments to ensure timely prioritization and readiness of samples.
  • Support process improvements by reviewing SOPs and contributing to training and development for junior staff and workshop teams.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of relevant laboratory experience under ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
  • Strong knowledge of metallic materials, alloy specifications, and chemical compositions (steel, stainless steel, nickel, cobalt, aluminum, titanium).
  • Familiarity with welding processes, consumables, and material properties in industrial applications.
  • Solid technical foundation in materials engineering and analytical testing techniques.
  • Advantage: Certifications such as CWI, CSWIP 3.1, or PCN Level 2 in Visual Inspection.
