Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS Cloud Linux Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and be proficient in managing Linux-based systems. You will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud resources while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and more.

Administer and maintain Linux-based systems in a cloud environment (CentOS, Ubuntu, RedHat). Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, identify potential issues, and take proactive measures to address them.

Implement and manage security best practices for cloud resources and Linux-based systems, including firewalls, VPNs, and security groups.

Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Optimize cloud resources for cost-efficiency and performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, outages, and performance problems.

Perform regular system backups, disaster recovery tests, and system upgrades.

Provide technical support and assistance to internal teams and clients as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, VPC, IAM, Lambda, RDS, S3, and other AWS services.

Strong proficiency in Linux system administration (CentOS, Ubuntu, RedHat).

Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.

Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration in the cloud.

Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and experience securing AWS resources. Experience with networking concepts like VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, and Load Balancers in AWS.

Expertise in scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation and system management. Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus.

Ability to manage and troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure environments.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
