Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all architectural design activities, including concept, layout development, detailed design, and technical specifications for semiconductor facilities.
  • Drive design coordination across multidisciplinary teams such as process, MEP, structural, safety, cleanroom, and tool installation.
  • Ensure architectural layouts support cleanroom classifications, material and personnel flow, sub-fab and utility integration, maintenance access, and future expansion.
  • Review and approve drawings, BIM models, shop drawings, and material submissions; ensure alignment with client requirements and project standards.
  • Support authority submissions and ensure compliance with BCA, SCDF, MOM, ISO 14644, FM Global, and all relevant industrial codes.
  • Work closely with project managers, construction teams, and contractors to resolve site issues, respond to RFIs, and manage design deviations.
  • Perform site inspections to monitor construction quality, workmanship, and adherence to approved designs.
  • Lead punch list activities and ensure timely closure prior to commissioning and handover.
  • Manage consultants, external partners, and internal design staff; ensure deliverables meet schedule, quality, and cost expectations.
  • Provide technical guidance for value engineering, constructability reviews, and risk mitigation related to architectural scope.
  • Oversee document control for all architectural documentation and ensure accurate As-Built records at project closeout.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 8–12 years of architectural experience, with at least 5 years in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or high-tech industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of cleanroom design, industrial building planning, wafer fab facility requirements, and integration with MEP systems.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and other design tools; ability to lead BIM coordination.
  • Familiar with Singapore authority requirements and industrial standards including ISO 14644 and FM Global.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced project environments and resolve technical challenges under tight timelines.
  • Willingness to attend site, support construction activities, and work extended hours when required.
