Role: Engineer (Drone Operator)

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Operate drones to inspect and assess the condition of building facades, including identifying potential structural issues, cracks, and other damage from high-rise buildings.

  • Conduct thorough pre-flight checks, including calibration of equipment, drone functionality, and battery levels. Plan flight paths to ensure safe and efficient coverage of the entire building façade.

  • Adhere to all relevant aviation laws, building codes, and safety protocols during flights. Obtain necessary permissions, approvals, and permits as required for drone operations in urban environments.

  • Continuously monitor the drone's performance during flight, including camera systems, sensors, and GPS functionality, to ensure accurate data collection

  • Use specialized camera equipment, including thermal and high-definition cameras, to capture clear and detailed images and videos of the building facade for inspection and analysis

  • Review collected data, including imagery and videos, and compiled detailed reports on the building's condition. Identify key issues such as cracks, leaks, or structural wear for further evaluation by engineers or project managers.

  • Inspect and maintain drone equipment after each flight, ensuring drones are clean, fully operational, and ready for the next mission. Log flight data, including weather conditions, flight duration, and maintenance requirements

  • Ensure proper documentation of all inspections, flight logs, and compliance records, maintain, organized and accurate files for future reference and audits.

  • Address any technical difficulties or malfunctions during drone operations, working with support teams as needed to resolve issues efficiently and safely.

Job Requirements:

  • At least a diploma in civil engineering, architecture or related is preferred.

  • Must hold a valid Pilot License issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), in compliance with Singapore's aviation regulation (Singapore)

  • Ability to adapt to different project requirements and work under varying weather conditions.
