[What the role is]
The Indian Heritage Centre (IHC) seeks a proactive Senior Manager / Manager to lead festival programming, partnerships, and pilot initiatives that enhance audience engagement and community integration. The role involves planning, developing, and executing arts and culture festivals, including initiatives that engage youths and volunteers, while strengthening the Centre's position as a vibrant hub for Indian arts and heritage.
[What you will be working on]
Reporting to the Head of Programming, you will be responsible for:
- Piloting new festivals and small-scale cultural initiatives to test innovative engagement approaches grounded in Indian heritage and traditions.
- Developing briefs and launching perception surveys to capture public feedback and inform culturally relevant festival programming.
- Creating and maintaining an arts and culture partnership database to support collaborations and festival initiatives that reflect the Indian heritage context.
- Designing and implementing integration programmes involving youths and volunteers, fostering cross-community participation with sensitivity to cultural practices.
- Monitoring and evaluating festival programmes to assess impact and inform future culturally aligned planning.

Key Competencies
- Cultural literacy: Understanding of Singapore's Indian heritage and festivals to engage effectively with community partners and audiences.
- Programme Development & Implementation: Ability to design and execute engaging, culturally informed festival initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Proficient in building and maintaining partnerships with arts and culture organisations.
- Strategic Thinking & Analytics: Able to use survey insights and audience feedback to inform festival planning that is culturally relevant.
- Community Engagement: Experience in volunteer management and youth-focused integration programmes.
Experience & Qualifications
- Preferably minimum 3 years' experience in cultural programming, festivals, or community engagement.
- Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Indian arts and heritage in Singapore or similar contexts is desirable to effectively engage community partners and audiences.
