What the role is:

As an Engineer / Senior Engineer (Electrical) at Tuas Desalination Plant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

What you will be working on:


• Lead a team of technical officers to maintain plant equipment and systems in compliance with O&M procedures.

• Oversee maintenance contractors performing O&M work.

• Plan and execute maintenance on High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) electrical equipment to ensure reliability and statutory compliance.

• Collaborate with Operations to address equipment failures promptly, including after hours, to restore normal water production.

• Track and manage defects, ensuring timely corrective actions.

• Handle sourcing, quotations, evaluation, and procurement of electrical equipment and services.

• Plan, design, and call tenders for electrical equipment replacement, upgrades, and system enhancements.

• Manage contracts related to electrical works, ensuring objectives and budgets are met.

• Oversee electrical assets and spares management.

• Monitor electrical consumption and propose efficiency improvements.

What we are looking for:


• Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to interpret electrical single-line diagrams.

• Effective team collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary environment.

• 3-5 years of experience in HT/LT maintenance.

• LEW or CEM qualifications are advantageous.

The successful candidate will be based at Tuas Desalination Plant.
