About the role

EM Services Pte Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Workplace Safety & Health Officer to join our team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our employees, implementing and monitoring workplace safety protocols, and driving a strong safety culture across the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards

  • Developing, implementing, and updating safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations

  • Providing safety training and education to all employees, promoting a culture of safety awareness and accountability

  • Investigating and reporting on workplace incidents, near misses, and safety-related concerns, and implementing corrective actions

  • Collaborating with management and cross-functional teams to continuously improve safety practices and performance

  • Maintaining accurate records and generating reports on safety metrics and initiatives

  • Staying up-to-date with the latest safety regulations, best practices, and industry developments

  • BCA-certified WSHO.

What we're looking for

  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Workplace Safety & Health Officer or similar role in the Environmental Engineering industry

  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and safety program implementation

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with employees at all levels

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Proficient in data analysis and report writing

  • Certified in relevant safety and health qualifications (e.g., WSQ, NEBOSH) would be an advantage

  • Registered WSH with MOM will be advantageous
