Software Development Engineer

Location: On-site, Singapore

Employment Type: 12-month contract (renewable)

Salary: Up to SGD 9,500

Job Scope:

  • Deliver optimized, scalable, and maintainable end-to-end software systems.
  • Build frontend and backend software, including business logic and APIs to integrate systems and components.
  • Develop and enhance software applications to meet functional and technical specifications.
  • Continuously improve and maintain software applications.
  • Execute unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
  • Use configuration management, integration, and build automation tools for application deployment.
  • Conduct testing and debugging to ensure high-quality code and software.
  • Create technical documentation for software and systems.
  • Identify opportunities and recommend system improvements.
  • Conduct feature-level system design, including application, database, and infrastructure design to meet business requirements.
  • Ensure applications adhere to security best practices and enterprise security standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in software/application development.
  • Strong experience with full-stack development, including frontend (e.g., JavaScript, React, Angular) and backend (e.g., Java, C#, , Python) technologies.
  • Expertise in Java, OutSystems, and full-stack development is a must.
  • Strong understanding of software design, architecture, and development practices (e.g., Object-Oriented Design, microservices, REST APIs, cloud computing).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern development tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Familiarity with modern cloud application architecture.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and software development life cycles (SDLC).
  • Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL), performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
