VP - Project Manager (Private Banking)

About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and motivated IT Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology initiatives within Private Banking division. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring alignment between business requirements and IT solutions, and driving innovation within a highly regulated financial environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of IT projects supporting private banking services, including client onboarding, portfolio management, digital channels, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, relationship managers, product owners, and IT teams to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
• Manage cross-functional project teams, both internal and external, including developers, analysts, testers, vendors, and consultants.
• Ensure delivery of projects within scope, time, cost, and quality constraints, following internal project governance and change management procedures.
• Identify risks and issues, create mitigation plans, and provide regular updates to senior management and steering committees.
• Work closely with compliance, legal, and information security teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory and internal standards.
• Support agile, hybrid, or waterfall project methodologies depending on the nature of the initiative.
• Prepare and present project status reports, dashboards, and documentation for stakeholders and auditors.
• Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing), system integration, and deployment activities.
• Foster continuous improvement in project execution and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, with a focus on Private Banking, Wealth Management, or Financial Services.
• Proven track record of managing IT projects involving core banking systems, CRM, digital banking platforms, or client onboarding tools.
• Strong understanding of private banking processes, regulatory frameworks (e.g., MiFID II, FATCA, AML/KYC), and client confidentiality standards.
• Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Prince2, PMP).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Proficient in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Confluence, Trello).

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification.
• Experience with core banking platforms (e.g., Avaloq, Temenos, Finacle).
• Previous experience in a multicultural or cross-border private banking organization.
