The CGA Director – Policy & Partnerships plays a pivotal role in advancing health policy advocacy initiatives with the International markets and forging strategic partnerships with regional organizations. This position supports therapeutic area priorities, accelerates access pathways, and helps position markets for growth.
Position Summary
The CGA Director – Policy & Partnerships is responsible for translating therapeutic area priorities into actionable policy advocacy strategies and building high-impact partnerships with regional bodies. This role collaborates with market CGA teams, sub-region leadership, and global stakeholders to shape health policy, drive socio-economic impact narratives, and enable evidence-based recognition of GSK's contributions to public health.
Through strategic engagement and collaborative leadership, the CGA Director strengthens GSK's policy influence and capability building across the International Region.
Key Responsibilities
Policy Advocacy Strategy
Support markets in building coalitions to advocate for policy change, creating position papers that articulate the economic and public health value of innovation.
Partner with markets to link health outcomes to productivity, equity, and system sustainability, driving socio-economic impact narratives.
Drive policy advocacy for real-world data generation, including digitization of health data and registries to enable evidence-based recognition of contributions.
Collaborate with Global Regulatory Affairs to address speed-to-market challenges and coordinate with Global Market Access on HTA policy shaping to accelerate access and reimbursement pathways.
Regional Partnerships
Build and maintain strategic relationships with regional bodies (e.g., APEC, ASEAN, WHO WPRO, ADB) to advance GSK's policy agenda.
Represent GSK in multilateral forums, shaping dialogue around adult immunization, respiratory innovation, and infectious disease control.
Support coalition-building efforts with NGOs, academic institutions, and public health alliances.
Business Partnering
Serve as a strategic CGA partner to sub-regional and market teams, providing guidance, frameworks, and advocacy support.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and capability building across markets to strengthen policy execution and advocacy.
Support incident management and stakeholder alignment in high-impact or sensitive policy environments.
Internal & External Engagement
Collaborate with Global CGA and Product & Pipeline teams to ensure alignment and integration of policy efforts.
Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and strategic messaging for senior leader engagements.
Champion internal storytelling and recognition of CGA impact across the International Region.
Qualifications/Skills
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Health, Political Science, International Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
Proven experience in designing and executing policy advocacy strategies in health-related areas.
Enterprise thinker and able to 'join the dots' to drive policy breakthroughs
Strong partnership capability, with demonstrated success in building relationships with external stakeholders.
Strategic communication skills to distill complex policy issues into clear, compelling narratives that influence stakeholders and drive action.
Work Arrangement
This role requires on-site presence with occasional travel across the International Region.
