Position Overview

The Business Operations Manager / Lead will work closely with the Director and department leads to identify inefficiencies, design structured workflows, and drive improvements across key operational functions such as order management, installation coordination, procurement, and customer service.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution — not just building new processes, but also ensuring they are carried out effectively day-to-day.

You will observe, analyze, and refine workflows, implement systems that improve visibility and accountability, and act as a bridge between leadership vision and operational reality.


Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Improvements & Systems Thinking

  • Observe workflows across sales, operations, and customer service to identify bottlenecks and friction points.
  • Design and implement changes that improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
  • Create, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all business processes.
  • Evaluate and enhance existing systems for better integration and automation.

2. Visibility & Data Support

  • Define operational KPIs and establish simple dashboards or reports to track progress.
  • Improve data visibility by ensuring processes are measurable and traceable.
  • Identify recurring issues or gaps through reporting and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with department managers to ensure improvement projects are implemented smoothly.
  • Build strong working relationships across teams, influencing without formal authority.
  • Act as a connector between sales, operations, finance, and leadership to ensure alignment and accountability.

4. Day-to-Day Operations Oversight

  • Oversee and support the daily flow of jobs — from order confirmation to installation and after-sales service.
  • Step in to assist with coordination, scheduling, and supplier follow-ups when required.
  • Ensure operational discipline through consistent task follow-up, progress reviews, and adherence to SOPs.

5. CEO / Leadership Support

  • Act as a thought partner to the Director, helping translate strategic goals into executable plans.
  • Drive internal improvement initiatives, ensuring ideas are implemented, not just discussed.
  • Provide leadership with periodic progress updates, performance reports, and operational insights.

Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or equivalent.
  • 3–6 years of experience in operations, process improvement, or business management (preferably in retail, home technology, or service-based environments).
  • Proven ability to map and optimize workflows and implement SOPs.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate observations into structured improvements.
  • Comfortable working across digital tools such as CRMs, scheduling systems, and project management software.
  • Hands-on attitude with strong follow-through and ownership.
  • Excellent communication and cross-department collaboration skills.
