Position: Customer Service Officer (12-month Contract)
Location: Outram
Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Monthly Salary: Up to $2,600

Job Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Officer under the Singapore Police Force. This role offers valuable experience in a dynamic public service environment, with a primary focus on handling licensing-related matters and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality assistance and support to customers, addressing queries and feedback in a professional and timely manner.

  • Assess and analyze license applications and supporting documents in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines.

  • Review screening results and make well-informed recommendations on the approval or rejection of license applications.

  • Stay up to date with all legislative and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and accuracy in application processing.

Division Assignments:

The selected officers will be deployed across various divisions within the PLRD:

  • 2 positions – Arms & Explosives Division (likely liaising with government agencies)

  • 1 position – General Licensing Division

  • 1 position – Public Entertainment & Liquor Division (engaging with F&B and tourism sectors)

  • 4 positions – Security Industry Division (working with private security firms)

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, regulatory environment

  • Keen eye for detail and good analytical skills

  • Familiarity with government regulations and licensing policies is an advantage
