Position Overview
The QAQC Engineer is responsible for upholding the highest quality and integrity standards throughout all phases of the project — from design and fabrication to installation and commissioning. This role ensures that all project works comply with industry standards, client requirements, and company quality objectives through systematic inspections, testing, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project-specific Quality Control Plans (QCPs), defining inspection stages, testing parameters, and acceptance criteria.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure full compliance with project and industry standards.
- Oversee quality control processes during all piping project stages — from material procurement and fabrication to installation.
- Conduct detailed visual and dimensional inspections of piping components to verify adherence to design and quality standards.
- Supervise Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, including radiographic, ultrasonic, dye penetrant, and magnetic particle testing.
- Carry out hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests to confirm structural soundness and leak integrity of piping systems.
- Verify incoming materials' quality through inspections and review of mill certificates and test reports.
- Ensure proper material handling, storage, and preservation to prevent damage or contamination.
- Monitor welding procedures, qualifications, and welder performance to maintain high welding quality.
- Perform visual inspections and coordinate radiographic testing of welded joints to identify defects and ensure compliance.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all inspections, tests, and results, including comprehensive quality reports.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and regulatory authorities on quality assurance matters.
- Identify non-conformities, lead root-cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Track non-conformance resolutions and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g. ASME B31.3, API 570).
Job Requirements
- Diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of Welding Inspection (AWS or CSWIP) and Quality Auditing certifications preferred.
- Experience in base build piping fabrication or hook-up module fabrication, including welding inspection and NDT methods.
- Hands-on experience with piping line walk and reinstatement inspections, with strong proficiency in interpreting isometric drawings.
- Able to work at Tampines project site for a minimum of 2 years.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin (able to read and write technical documents from Taiwan HQ).

- Salary: S$2,500 – S$4,000 (inclusive of variable meal and transport allowances)

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
