Job Summary
- Dependability, attention to detail, ability to follow/interpret procedures, and employ reason to accomplish non-routine tasks and duties.
- Intermediate level of skill required to open, create and modify various documents using the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., documents, spreadsheets, e-mail, etc.) and enter/retrieve information using various applications/systems.
- Ability to effectively exchange routine and non-routine information verbally and in writing and apply knowledge of the department's policies and procedures.
- Maturity and ability to relate to colleagues.
Job Description
- Underwrite and develop marine cargo and hull business to achieve the targeted profitable portfolio
- Ensure smooth workflow within the Marine Team
- Ensure collaboration across lines of businesses, functions and countries to proactively address the needs of our customers
- Work closely with Accounts on credit control matters, Claims Department to keep abreast of submitted claims and to improve underwriting based on claims results.
- Ensure compliance of Company's reinsurance treaty limits, terms and conditions to protect Company's net exposure.
- Monitor and review annual policies, open covers, cover notes etc
- Coordinate and liaise with process team on document processing Provide support on all enquiries pertaining to the web-based portal for marine cargo.
- Able to place and accept facultative reinsurance.
Role Requirements
- 3-5 years' experience in Marine underwriting
- GCE 'A' or Polytechnic, Diploma Singapore College of Insurance
- CGI ANZIIF or ACII Qualifications
