What's the role?

We're looking for a passionate and energetic Relationship Manager to join our Singapore-based Global Majors and Private Bank sales team. You will be tasked with growing and defending revenue across our Terminal, Enterprise product and Enterprise data businesses. To do so will require gaining a deep understanding of the client's technology and data landscape and demonstrating an acute awareness of industry and regulatory challenges to provide compelling solutions. You will build strong senior relationships to facilitate the engagement and deepen our client partnership.

We'll trust you to:

  • Build and nurture senior level relationships across your client network
  • Collaborate globally across Terminal and Enterprise Sales teams and client HQs to drive business success locally
  • Understand and stay on top of the political, economical, technological and legal macro environment, the context these global banks operate in and be aware of the opportunities and challenges they bring
  • Use your strong product knowledge, technical skills, and market knowledge to generate revenue from our Terminal business and broader technology and data suite
  • Demonstrate sales creativity in combining our offerings or looking to create new unique offerings which present strong return on investment for the firm
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of what our customers do at all levels of their business - this will include terminal users, and other stakeholders who use our solutions
  • Credibly position & articulate the Bloomberg value proposition, across the Terminal & enterprise, so that you can act as a consultative partner for our customers
  • Challenge the status quo and contribute innovative ideas that anticipate and address client needs
  • Collaborate internally to implement value-added solutions
  • Participate actively in new projects that drive departmental and firm-wide initiatives and goals
  • Seek out additional ways to demonstrate leadership and make an impact, such as mentoring, involvement in training, running campaigns, and active involvement in product improvements

You'll need to have:

  • Minimum 5 years experience, within the financial markets or financial technology industries
  • Experience selling or supporting financial technology solutions to financial services clients (such as major sell-side institutions including banks, brokers and private banks)
  • Client facing experience in a sales or customer support position within the past 3 years, with demonstrated experience with Equities, Fixed Income, FX or Derivative technology solutions
  • Experience in creatively building and maintaining senior client relationships - at both a user and executive level - both externally and internally. Particularly being able to leverage internal Bloomberg resources widely and efficiently to execute on your business plan and sales strategy
  • Strong operational excellence in sales discipline - pipeline management, documenting sales conversations, campaign execution, CRM updates etc.
  • Strong commercial sense and a proven ability to advance sales processes from lead generation to close
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Asian financial markets landscape, including awareness of key players' activities and key industry developments
  • Consultative sales skills, including competitive market research, lead generation, prospecting, business development and closing sales
  • Consistent record in handling multiple complex sales engagements concurrently
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Business proficiency in English
  • Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
  • Bachelor's degree or degree-equivalent qualifications
