Biology Teacher

Job Description:

You will report to the Head of Department (Science) and your duties will include:-

  • Preparing Biology lessons and Scheme of Work according to the required syllabuses
  • Conducting learning activities in the classroom and laboratory
  • Setting and vetting examination papers
  • Invigilating tests and examinations
  • Marking assignments and examination scripts
  • Assessing and recording students' progress according to department and school policies
  • Completing all administrative duties related to teaching Biology
  • Maintaining good communication with students, parents and colleagues

Job Requirements:

·       Candidate must possess minimum a Bachelor's degree in Biology from a university

·       A Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the National Institute of Education (NIE) is a plus

·       At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience in Biology in a school setting

·       Familiar with Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level, Cambridge IGCSE

·       Meticulous and well-organised

·       Good interpersonal and communication skills
