The role

MindSpace Yishun is seeking passionate and experienced Assistant Teachers to join our early childhood education team in the Yishun North Region. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our young students.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assisting the Lead Teacher in planning and executing engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our students
  2. Providing individualised attention and support to students to promote their cognitive, social, and emotional development
  3. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised classroom environment
  4. Collaborating with the teaching team to implement the school's curriculum and teaching strategies
  5. Actively participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
  6. Communicating effectively with parents and caregivers to provide updates on the students' progress and address any concerns

What we're looking for

  1. Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  2. Minimum 1 year of experience as an Assistant Teacher or in a similar role within the early childhood education sector
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  4. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the overall success of the school
  5. Passion for teaching and a genuine interest in supporting the holistic development of young children
  6. Proficiency in English and at least one other language (e.g. Mandarin, Malay) is preferred
