Job Description

As the WSHO cum ECO, you will report directly to the Project Manager and be responsible for the planning, implementation, and enforcement of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) systems on-site. You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, aligning with regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise and support the Project Manager on EHS planning and execution across all phases of the project.

  • Understand and ensure compliance with company ISO standards, EHS policies, and subcontractor agreements.

  • Liaise with relevant authorities (e.g., MOM, NEA, HDB) and maintain proper documentation to meet all statutory and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with EHS regulations. You are empowered to recommend and enforce corrective actions, including the issuance of partial stop-work orders when necessary.

  • Lead investigations and documentation of all workplace incidents and accidents.

  • Collaborate closely with project teams and subcontractors to foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

  • Prevent regulatory infringements such as fines, demerit points, or stop-work orders, which will be a key performance indicator for this role.

  • Support any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager in relation to project execution.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health

  • MOM-registered WSH Officer (WSHO)

  • Certified in NEA ECO, ECMO, and other relevant environmental compliance standards

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar WSHO cum ECO role within the construction industry
