Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and competent Installation Engineer to support installation activities for electrical and communication systems in major infrastructure projects. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that installation works are executed in accordance with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations, while maintaining effective coordination with project stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Planning and Preparation: Collaborate with project managers and relevant stakeholders to plan installation activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and site preparation.
  2. Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre-installation inspections to ensure equipment and systems meet required specifications and are in proper working condition.
  3. Site Assessment: Perform on-site assessments to determine installation requirements, considering spatial constraints, access points, and safety considerations.
  4. Installation Supervision: Lead and supervise installation teams, providing technical guidance and direction to technicians, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and safe execution.
  5. Assembly and Configuration: Assemble and configure systems and equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and project specifications, ensuring correct calibration and functionality.
  6. Testing and Commissioning: Conduct functional testing and commissioning activities, and resolve any technical issues identified.
  7. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures and perform inspections to ensure compliance with project and organisational standards.
  8. Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to all relevant codes, regulations, and safety protocols throughout the installation process.
  9. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of installation activities, including materials used, work performed, and deviations from plan. Prepare reports for submission to project managers and clients.
  10. Customer Satisfaction: Support client engagement by ensuring installation works are delivered to the required standard and timelines, addressing issues promptly and professionally.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in installation of electrical and communication infrastructures.
  • Prior experience in LTA railway projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, service-oriented, and committed to delivering quality work.
  • Willingness to work outside of standard office hours, including night shifts, when required.

Additional Information

This position offers a 1-year renewable contract with completion and performance bonuses, subject to project requirements and individual performance.
