Overview:

The Application Analyst (12 months contract) will be part of the Digital and Information Technology team responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting IT systems in use within the healthcare environment. The primary systems include Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and other clinical management solutions. The role involves close collaboration with clinical and hospital stakeholders to ensure IT systems effectively support business and operational needs.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand business operations and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the team to propose suitable IT solutions that streamline and enhance business processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve daily IT system issues within the agreed service level, working closely with vendors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare and maintain IT system documentation, including functional, design, and test specifications, as well as operation and user guides.
  • Manage, perform, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Conduct end-user training sessions and provide post-implementation support.
  • Assist the Reporting Officer in the procurement, acquisition, and implementation of IT systems.
  • Provide coverage for team members during their absence.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate strong work ethics, adaptability, and the ability to meet project timelines and objectives efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in IT system implementation, preferably in EMR, clinic/laboratory/radiology systems, or integration with NEHR (an advantage).Candidates with relevant experience (minimum 3 years) in an Application Analyst or similar role will be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of process and workflow mapping and analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
