As a Merchandiser (Shoes), you will act as a key partner to leadership, driving performance through strategic planning, market insight, and operational excellence throughout our global markets.

This role will report to the Global Merchandising Manager and will assist leadership in executing and communicating a product strategy that meets and exceeds financial goals and global product strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

Merchandising Strategy

  • Construct a design matrix for the product assortments
  • Execute merchandising plans that drive sales, enhance product visibility
  • Analyze sales data, market trends and customer feedback to make informed decisions on product assortments
  • Look for growth opportunities through relevant analysis of product/category/collection
  • Maintain operational functions of master data which includes SKU management, and support with details and content
  • Prepare analysis and files for cross functional meetings with VM, training and marketing team to ensure right visibility and knowledge of the product according to the merchandising strategy

Market Analysis and Trend Forecasting

  • Track market trends, consumer shifts, and competitors to identify growth opportunities and risks
  • Conduct regular market analyses to surface product opportunities and align with global teams to drive local market penetration

Seasonal Buying Launch Preparation and Internal Sell-In

  • Seasonal Online Buying Portal and Buying Conference/Product Catalogue
  • Coordination, deliverables, and timeline with respective departments (Design, IT, Photography, Marketing, Trends etc.)
  • Product Strategy Brief for all region/market buyers. (Re-engineered bestsellers in the collection, Must-have trend elements to invest, Marketing Key Selection, New Construction, Strategic Launch timings)
  • Review buying strategies by market (OTB, assortment, investment by function) and overall selection/grading/colors and MOQ
  • Global Sell-In report and key actions (if any) to improve buying for the season

Collaboration and Communication

  • Global delivery or launch sequence by product and theme (by month and week)
  • Core Collection, Limited Edition products, Country Exclusives, Online Exclusives etc
  • Product selection to ensure communication is aligned with styles ordered/pushed
  • Coordinate and communicate each season's key product information including 1) Highly-invested styles of the season and 2) Key-trend styles or campaign capsules heavily focused by Global Marketing

Financial Performance

  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, suggesting actions to achieve sales and profitability targets

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years' experience in Retail Buying or other relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree related to Merchandising or Fashion
  • General knowledge of Merchandising, Buying process and strong Product Knowledge
  • Proven ability to multitask in fast paced environment, manages competing priorities and meets deadlines
  • Good analytical skills, able to manage competing priorities
  • Able to travel internationally (Key market visit)
  • Strong PC, software and system skills, with a strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Team player mentality to collaborate with various department and build cross functional relationships
  • Brand sensibility and strong product trend application
  • Experience developing merchandise assortments
  • Product point of view and conviction, open minded to feedback and alternative viewpoints
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
