We are looking for a talented and meticulous Accountant / Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role reports to the Deputy General Manager for operational activities and the VP, Finance & Admin for financial matters and reporting. You will manage the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions for our Singapore company and Taiwan branch, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing while maintaining compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review staff claims, supplier payments, and manage payment cycles.
  • Monitor outstanding debts and provide regular updates to the DGM.
  • Review inventory aging with the logistics/operations team quarterly.
  • Coordinate with sales, purchasing, and logistics to update project WIP costing monthly.
  • Maintain organized documentation and filing systems.
  • Prepare and review cash flow positions and forecasts.
  • Prepare and review journal entries.
  • Prepare management reports and schedules, including fixed assets, balance sheet schedules, and costing schedules.
  • Conduct quarterly GST reconciliation and reporting.
  • Prepare quarterly budgets and forecasts for Singapore entity & Taiwan branch.
  • Review Taiwan branch results, coordinate with bookkeeping company, and communicate with the Taiwan team.
  • Consolidate Singapore and Taiwan results and report to HQ monthly and quarterly.
  • Respond to queries from head office and liaise with auditors, bankers, and other stakeholders.
  • Review and enhance internal financial policies and procedures to align with HQ policies.
  • Manage other administrative tasks such as preparing documents for directors and miscellaneous activities.

Requirements:

  • Min Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent; CA qualification preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or construction, with familiarity in milestone billing & costing.
  • Strong analytical skills and good understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Hands-on, meticulous, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Quick learner, able to adapt to new software and systems efficiently.
