DevOps Engineer

The team is seeking an accomplished DevOps Engineer. We are a team in GovTech that aims to design and develop software applications that help government agencies to better serve the needs of Singaporeans. We adopt an Agile development approach and work towards adopting tech best practices and cutting-edge tools. As a DevOps Engineer, you will provide a robust infrastructure for software development teams to code with ease and speed. You will focus on implementing and continuously improving the tools and processes for continuous integration and delivery, as well as promoting best practices in their use. You will typically work in a team that collaborates on common problems across projects and focus areas. As a result, you will have exposure to a broader set of problems, which allows for fast career growth and proximity to abundant technical challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Instituting and promoting continuous integration/delivery practices for applications using server-side rendering (SSR) and incremental static regeneration (ISR) with various caching strategies.
• Working with developers to set up fully containerised application environments and enable smooth and efficient application deployments on AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
• Developing scripts and utilizing continuous integration tools to automate build, software release, and application deployment processes using Gitlab.
• Provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt (IaC).
• Managing and optimizing ElasticCloud services, for observability and logging.
• Conducting cloud security scans and hardening cloud infrastructure.

• Passion for automation, standardization, and best practices.
• Experience with relevant CI tools/technologies, such as GitLab.
• Experience with system administration and scripting in Unix/Linux environments.
• Proficiency in infrastructure provisioning tools (Docker, Terraform etc.).
• Strong experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EKS and Cloudfront.
• Comfortable with Agile methodologies and working closely with Agile development teams.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience with CMS development configuration will be an added advantage.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Professional Solutions Architect and/or Cloud Practitioner Certification) will be an added advantage.
