GENERAL DESCRIPTION

You will be based in Singapore and be part of the Scientific & Technical Regulatory Affairs Department of the L'Oreal Malaysia & Singapore cluster organization.

As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the company meets the relevant regulatory requirements, secure our license to operate and contribute to the deployment of the company's regulatory strategy. You will also be responsible for anticipating regulatory challenges in line with the business objectives and providing support in the implementation of new regulations. This role will provide you with the opportunity to liaise with colleagues from the regional and international teams, as well as trade associations and regulatory agencies.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The role reports to the Scientific Director based in Malaysia.

TASKS AND DUTIES

  • Execute regulatory processes in a timely manner through evaluating, prioritizing, planning, and performing the required activities
  • Collaborate with internal partners (Marketing, Operations, regional teams etc) to ensure regulatory compliance in achieving business objectives
  • Submit product notification to the Health Science Authority (HSA) and ensure product labelling compliance
  • Review and validate product artwork and advertising materials
  • Proactively identify, mitigate and/or escalate, regulatory compliance risks and gaps in processes
  • Understand the value of Regulatory to the business and be a true business partner
  • Effective stakeholder management by establishing and strengthening the relationship with regulatory agencies, trade associations and regulatory working groups.
  • Continuously develop expertise and regulatory knowledge through on-the-job learnings, trainings, and seminars.
  • Contribute to cross-disciplinary projects initiated within the company

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in a science field with 1-2 years working experience
  • Experience in Regulatory or cosmetics industry is an advantage
  • Excellent communication (written and spoken) and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to distil complex issues and help formulate solutions
  • Agile and possess a growth mindset
  • Creative, entrepreneurial and embraces digitalization
  • Persuasive individual with strong collaborative team spirit
