Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Senior Beautician & Trainer to join our team. This hybrid role combines advanced treatment expertise with training responsibilities, ensuring clients receive the best service while beauticians are consistently trained to professional standards. The role also supports operational manpower across outlets, contributes to research and development, and drives best practices across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Service Excellence

• Perform a wide range of treatments (facials, slimming, and hair removal) to professional standards.
• Conduct in-depth consultations to understand client needs and design tailored treatment plans.
• Recommend and promote suitable treatment packages and products to support client results.
• Step in to provide treatment services at different outlets when manpower support is required.
• Build long-term client relationships by delivering consistent service excellence.

Training & Coaching

• Deliver structured practical skills training covering theory, demonstrations, and supervised practice.
• Train beauticians on treatment protocols, equipment usage, and consultation skills.
• Teach effective sales techniques: presenting treatments, recommending packages, and closing with confidence.
• Mentor beauticians for skills progression and professional assessments, providing feedback and coaching.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, training manuals, and evaluation checklists to ensure uniform standards.
• Support career growth pathways for beauticians, preparing them to step into senior roles.

Research & Development

• Evaluate new beauty technologies, products, and treatment methods for potential adoption.
• Test and refine treatment techniques to consistently achieve the best results for clients.
• Gather client and staff feedback to improve service protocols and outcomes.
• Collaborate with management on designing innovative service packages that align with market demand.
• Share insights and learning from industry events, seminars, or competitions to keep the team ahead.

Standards, Compliance & Best Practices

• Ensure beauticians strictly follow company protocols, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Monitor and assess service quality across outlets to maintain brand consistency.
• Conduct internal audits and implement corrective measures when needed.
• Lead by example to ingrain best practices into everyday operations, ensuring all staff embody Expressions' service values.
• Represent the company at beauty workshops, industry events, or competitions to reinforce brand credibility.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in beauty therapy, including facials, slimming, and hair removal.
• At least 3 years of experience as a trainer, mentor, or coach in the beauty industry.
• Proven experience as a trainer in the beauty industry.
• Recognised qualifications such as CIDESCO, CIBTAC, City & Guilds, SKM, or equivalent.
• Strong background in practical instruction, curriculum development, and beautician coaching.
• Proven ability in consultation, sales, and client relationship building.
• Strong interpersonal skills, adaptable, responsible, and a supportive team leader.
• Flexibility to support outlets with manpower as needed.
• Positive, customer-focused attitude with sales orientation and service excellence mindset.
• Willingness to continue upgrading skills and knowledge through continuous training.
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced
• environment.
