The Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting and ensuring robust local finance controllership. The Accountant also supports the seamless transition to a finance shared service model, contributing to business continuity and operational excellence.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end financial closings, assist the preparation of statutory financial statements and coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth and timely completion of audits.
  • Manage, streamline, and improve local operational finance processes relating to Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Fixed Asset Accounting, and Book-to-Report (B2R).
  • Facilitate the transfer of operational finance processes to Dormakaba Business Services (Finance Shared Service), ensuring a seamless handover and continuity of operations
  • Assist in corporate tax, GST, withholding tax, transfer pricing, trade compliance and company administration and government surveys to ensure adherence to relevant company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Strengthen internal controls by reviewing existing processes such as approval flow, fixed asset tagging and verification, physical inventory and others to identify control gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned to support the evolving needs of the business.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in financial accounting, including full set of accounts and day-to-day accounting operations within a manufacturing environment at a multinational corporation.
  • Proven experience in utilising GUI automation tools (e.g., UiPath) to streamline finance processes and in documenting end-to-end process flows. Prior experience in external audit with one of the Big 4 accounting firms is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA)
