About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Cashier and Cashier Supervisor to join our team at HOUSE + PTE LTD'. This is a full-time role based in the Jurong Gateway West Region. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for efficiently processing customer transactions and providing excellent customer service. As a Cashier Supervisor, you will also oversee the operations of the cashier team, ensuring smooth and effective service delivery.

What you'll be doing

  • Greet and assist customers at the checkout, handling all payment transactions efficiently and accurately
  • Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortages to the store manager
  • Respond to customer inquiries and handle any complaints or issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of the cashier team, ensuring they provide high-quality customer service
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to cashiers, and provide training and guidance as needed
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the checkout area
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role, preferably in the retail industry, min O level.
  • Strong numerical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle cash and perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management processes
  • Supervisory experience and the ability to lead and motivate a team (for Cashier Supervisor role)
