About the role

IEG Oilfield Services Pte. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Milling Machinist to join our team in the Tuas West Region. As a Milling Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the production and maintenance of high-quality components for the oil and gas industry. This is a full-time position that offers competitive remuneration and the opportunity to work for a leading provider of oilfield services.

What you'll be doing

  • Operating and maintaining milling machines to produce precision parts and components
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate machining
  • Performing routine maintenance and adjustments on milling machines to ensure optimal performance
  • Identifying and troubleshooting any issues with the milling machines and taking appropriate corrective action
  • Ensuring that all work is completed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner
  • Collaborating with the engineering and production teams to identify areas for process improvement

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Milling Machinist or similar role in the manufacturing industry
  • Able to operate FANUC Control System
  • Strong understanding of milling machine operations, including the ability to set up, program, and operate various types of milling machines
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Certification in machining or a relevant technical trade would be an advantage
