Senior CAD Drafter

Job Description:

• Prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings for water and waste water treatment plants, pipelines, process systems, pressure vessel, skids and modules.
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and project requirements to produce accurate drawings.
• Develop P&IDs, piping layouts, general arrangements, isometrics, and fabrication drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers and other drafters to ensure design accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Maintain drawing standards, title blocks, layering, and file naming conventions.
• Perform clash detection and design reviews using 3D modeling software.
• Manage revisions, redlines, and markups through the document control system.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI, AWWA) and company standards.
• Coordinate with external consultants, vendors, fabrication and or commissioning teams as needed.
• Mentor drafters and support CAD team development.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Associate degree or certification in CAD drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is a plus.
• Minimum 5–10 years of CAD drafting experience, with at least 3 years in water treatment and/or oil & gas.
• Strong understanding of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), process flow diagrams (PFDs), and equipment layouts.

Software Proficiency:

• AutoCAD (2D & 3D) – required
• AutoCAD Plant 3D – preferred
• Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D – desirable
• MicroStation – optional but a plus
• MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Preferred Certifications (Optional but Valuable):

• Autodesk Certified Professional (AutoCAD or Plant 3D)
• OSHA Safety Training (for site visits)
