Job Purpose

The Senior Officer, Accounts Payable is responsible for executing and enhancing end-to-end payment processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across multiple payment streams. This role supports the finance function by maintaining strong internal controls, driving process improvements, and contributing to automation initiatives. The incumbent plays a key role in month-end closing activities, audit readiness, and system enhancements. This position supports the department's transformation agenda and ensures operational continuity through proactive risk management and stakeholder collaboration.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage end-to-end payment processing across vendor invoices, intercompany settlements, staff claims, customer refunds, and corporate card settlements, ensuring compliance with Group policies.
  • Perform invoice validation and posting in SAP, ensuring accurate three-way matching (PO–GR–Invoice) and adherence to accounting controls.
  • Coordinate with Business Units (BUs) to reconcile advance payments, resolve invoice and GR issues, and support smooth month-end closures.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives, including OCR, RPA, and SAP enhancements, to improve efficiency and system utilisation.
  • Support audits and transformation projects, including UAT participation, risk mitigation, and preparation of reports and documentation for stakeholders.

What You'll Bring:

  • Education – Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience – Minimum 4 years of work experience in Accounts Payable, with exposure to month-end closing and audit processes.
  • Technical Skills – Familiar with MS Office applications; proficiency in SAP is an added advantage.
  • Soft Skills – Good interpersonal and communication skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy; able to work independently under tight deadlines.
