**In this role, you will be leading the following**:
**Strategy**:

- Conduct research to understand industry and end-user trends
- Conduct interviews to understand emerging trends among the customer base
- Develop an in depth understanding of competitors, their products and strategies with an eye to understanding their positioning and plans of attack
- Identify areas of opportunity and what it would take to win
- Outline gaps in critical skills, resources or capability and what would be needed to close these gaps
- Develop strategic initiatives and action plans to capture these opportunities / counter competitive moves
- Lead implementation and achievement of strategic plans

**New Product Development / Product Launches**:

- Ensure Product Planners understand customer unmet needs via Voice of Customer (VOC)
- Participate in / lead Technical Road Map meetings to prioritize product ideas and opportunities
- Oversee / sign-off on the development of product road maps
- Lead the new product development process (forecasts, specs, customer validation, commercialization)
- Ensure that NPD Revenue Achievement targets are achieved

**Product Line Ownership**:

- Lead the Product Management team to achieve the portfolio’s growth and Gross Margin goals
- Develop product line growth plans: 1 - 3 year vision with a commercial / technical focus. Should align with Pall Micro E’s overall strategic plan
- Work with Engineering and Operations to drive and support initiatives to reduce costs of existing products through Value Analysis Value Engineering (VAVE), location changes and / or supplier changes
- Own Product Lifecycle Management. Lead the work to know how well current products are positioned vs competition. Proactively develop product strategies to improve our ability to compete
- Own process for any type of product changes: including change notification, manufacturing support, etc.
- Forecast annual demand and work with Ops to ensure inventory and material / capacity planning processes are in place to meet customers’ demand, lead-time and OTD requirements
- Lead / manage the Product Management team. Guide them as they:

- Develop comprehensive materials and tools to help sales win opportunities. These include fight sheets, value selling documents, ROI/TCO tools, solution guides, etc.
- Provide training on key areas to sales and other customer facing groups and develop on-line testing and verification of competencies, etc.
- As needed, assist with site visits, tailored materials, etc., to pursue opportunities

**Demand Generation**:

- Understand goals / needs of target customer segments
- Develop appropriate demand generation campaigns
- Design/review/approve marketing materials that are used for outbound demand generation
- Ensure that process for capturing / following up on in-bound leads from non-commercial sources, is well functioning

**Price Management**:

- Develop annual price strategy. Manage the implementation of annual price increase. Ensure timely and accurate implementation
- Set list and floor prices for new products. Manage actual price via price approval process.
- Lead / assist regions with root cause and counter measures on price misses.

**The essential requirements of the job include**:

- Passion to win (i.e., take share from competitors, meet or exceed standard margin expansion targets)
- Ability to listen to various stakeholders (e.g., customers, Sales) and generate actionable insights
- Strong ability to lead, influence and shape opinions among a peer group of senior managers
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external groups (customers, senior business leaders and employees at all levels). Able to create a vision/plan and present in a compelling manner to enlist support.
- Being a strong coach and mentor to the associates while being a team player with peers
- Compelling leadership style to work across a global culture, consistent with Danaher values and culture.
- Presence and stature to generate respect, trust and a positive image for the organization; credibility through demonstrated expertise.

**It would be a plus if you also possess the following experience**:

- Technical Undergraduate Degree in Engineering / Science
- Technical education in Engineering/ Science
- Expertise in semiconductor/ filtration
- Global leadership experience
