[What the role is]
This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Entrepreneurship in the School of Business & Accountancy.
**[What you will be working on]**
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Deliver lectures and tutorials on entrepreneurship-related modules.
- Engage students in active learning through case studies, simulations, and other experiential learning activities.
- Evaluate student progress using a variety of assessments, including tests, exams, assignments, and group projects.
- Participate in curriculum development to ensure the program aligns with industry trends and academic standards.
- Advise and mentor students on academic and career-related matters.
- Take on committee portfolios and ad-hoc projects that support the school’s mission.
**[What we are looking for]**
- Prior entrepreneurial experience, either through starting a business or managing/consulting for businesses or start-ups, coupled with a strong foundation in behavioural insights.
- A collaborative team player with excellent presentation, communication, and networking skills, and capable of teaching both Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education & Training (CET) courses.
- Experience in integrating digital solutions, analysing behavioural patterns and trends, designing interventions that influence actions, incorporating sustainability and technological trends affecting businesses, and/or entrepreneurial finance into the curriculum will be an added advantage.
- Possess strong understanding of entrepreneurial concepts and behavioural insights related to starting, developing, and scaling a business.
- At least 3 years of prior relevant entrepreneurship experience in managing or starting a business.
- Teaching experience will be an advantage.
- A nurturing mindset with a passion for working with youths and adult learners in both the full-time diploma and part-time programmes.
- Ability to use innovative teaching strategies to motivate learners.
- Competent in planning, developing and teaching entrepreneurship modules and managing entrepreneurial initiatives and activities.
Additional pre-requisite that is advantageous:
- Experience in cross-cultural or international environments, along with access to industry partners and networks, will be highly advantageous.
