**Scope of role**:
The Media Buying Manager Role is a critical one in the agency as you will be investing our esteemed clients’ media budgets with data led insights and driving ROI and savings.
**Reporting Structure**:
- You report to the Head of Investments and Commercial
- You are expected to have experience in a buying manager role in a media agency for at least 5 years across client categories.
**The role encompasses**:
- Prepare spot plans and schedules and adjust when needed
- Negotiate with media sale companies to obtain the best rates
- Purchase and monitor advertising space and airtime
- Prepare Competitive reviews
- Client reporting and budget management, including preparing costings for clients
- Provide spending updates throughout the campaign
- Trafficking of simple digital campaigns
- Deliver on client promised saving goals
**Key Responsibilities**:
Stay updated on industry/market/product trends and developments
- Demonstrate eagerness in learning about and keeping up with product / category news
- Understand how the media scene & developments are affecting own work output such as deals
- Keep up to date with industry research figures
Adhere and comply to any billing requirements
- Well-versed in the media-finance process
- Accurate and timely input into billing/claims system.
- Update and follow-through all changes to financial/investment requests
- Understand how foreseeable developments will impact own scope of work and review the need to re-prioritise delivery or manage expectations
- Understand the client's business objectives and chosen strategies
- Understand the OMG business and Buying function in the marketing process
- Create short-term plans/tactics to perform well on the job.
Effectively prioritize personal tasks and deliver quality work
- Consistently produce high-quality work, taking ownership and accountability for results.
- Able to deliver quickly and efficiently (meet or beat deadlines) under pressure
- Display a conscientious commitment to get the job done
Managerial Leaderships Skills
- Maintain high level of self-awareness and demonstrate leadership presence.
- Display a passion for learning and show a commitment to training and developing.
- Mentor and coach executive Level and guide on all operational matters.
- Understand what factors drive the clients' business as well as that of our business.
- Assisting the Account teams to grow the usage of the different media channels and develop strong client management / servicing skills
- Responsible for Savings Price Audits and Benchmarking, inflation mitigation
- Build effective relationships with partners/vendors to fulfil commitments and drive value in negotiations.
- Leverage good relationships by networking with business partners/vendors to extract work value and achieve results.
- Manage and resolve conflicts with business partners/vendors, know when to escalate as necessary.
- Be actively involved in New Business Lead Generation
**Experience required**:
- Bachelor's degree
- 8+ years of media agency experience
- Strong media partner relationships
- Deep understanding and experience in Media Buying Tools
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency

- Ability to build strong relations with colleagues, clients, network partners and external agencies
