The Head of Procurement will manage a team of ‘category managers’ via a matrix model and is responsible for four functions mainly Supplier Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Inventory Management.
Supplier Management
- Selection of strategic suppliers/partners
- Establishment of supplier engagement / governance framework
- Negotiating cost/value effective contracts with suppliers
- Maintaining positive supplier relationships
- Optimising range of suppliers: driving value for money, competition, and options

Procurement
- Development of a ‘strategic sourcing’ approach to procurement
- Establishment of matrix team
- Overseeing purchasing activities
- Optimising purchasing to improve value for money

Supply Chain
- Planning and implementation of a logístical strategy
- Controlling the delivery process, overseeing handling and distribution
- Optimising the supply chain vs supply chain metrics

Inventory Management
- Planning and implementing an asset management strategy (including hedging)Operations
- Managing the company’s assets
- Overseeing storage
- Optimising the use of inventory vs inventory management metrics

**Requirements**:

- Degree in business administration;
- Professional qualification in procurement and supply chain management;
- Proven working experience in hedging, bulk procurement and shipping;
- Proven track records in system implementation;
- Analytical and in dept financial understanding.
- Possess good attitude, self-motivated, result oriented, flexible and adaptable to changes positively;
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Cooperative and display good teamwork.
