Tsao Family Office (TFO), based in Singapore, manages and administers the Tsao family’s assets and businesses, with a focus on responsible investments and practices. It is currently not donor reliant for funding, relying on returns on investments to fund its philanthropic activities.

Reporting directly to the CIO, you will be responsible for timely investment recommendation in the Equities asset class, in line with the management’s view and monetizing market conditions. You will be responsible for Equity portfolios construction and reviews and will support ad-hoc queries in the asset class. You will analyze the opportunities, perform systematic follow-up on the recommendations and will follow and analyze the flow of transactions in the asset class. Investment expression will mainly be via fund investments, which will include long-only mutual funds, hedge funds and private equity funds.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. Research, analyze and recommend actionable investment ideas across allocated Equity research areas, geographies, sectors and other risk factors for global asset allocation - including new idea generation and ongoing monitoring of current recommendations

2. Prepare investment proposals and conduct due diligence
- Conduct statistical analysis on financial data including macro-economic data points, company-specific fundamental data and securities prices
- Develop financial models and perform scenario and sensitivity analysis
- Identify dominant characteristics of financial products, and their relationship to risk factors and other securities
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of systematic risk factors to identify risk premiums
- Conduct due diligence of fund managers and investment opportunities

3. Ensure timely and accurate execution of investment strategies

4. Rebalancing portfolios in response to investment strategies, cash flows, benchmark changes, market price movements and changes

5. Maintain and perform housekeeping of the investment databases and spreadsheets. Actively monitor and compile industry, market and asset level data and financial information which may impact the firm's potential or current investments

6. Automate workflow for research and portfolio management marketing through database development and coding of routines.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Economics/Finance or related discipline; CFA / CAIA / FRM charter holder preferred
- At least 10 years of experience in Equities, either advisory, investment management or research
- Possess excellent understanding of Equities markets, and ability to follow the news flow in different regions and sectors
- Possess a very good understanding of equities selection, portfolio construction, investment processes and risk management approaches
- Extensive accounting and financial modeling skills with the ability to build financial models, conduct due diligence and valuations
- Familiarity with the use of electronic data sources (e.g. Bloomberg)
- Highly numerate and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Familiarity with R, SPSS or any statistical package will be an added advantage
- Expansive, able to scale up & not afraid to roll-up-sleeves
