As an Engineer, Planning & Oversight, you will be responsible for leading the structural design process for solar power projects, from conceptualization to implementation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, professional engineers, and contractors to ensure the successful execution of solar energy projects. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with structural engineering standards.
- Lead the design and engineering review process for EPCs’ master document list submission, including reviewing C&S calculations and drawings.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external EPCs to ensure the structural installations fulfils engineering standards (IEC, BCA, Singapore Standards etc).
- Assist the in-house structural professional engineer to perform structural calculations for all solar energy projects as & when required.
- Assist in getting endorsements from Professional Engineers for the related engineering calculations, analysis documents and drawings.
- Provide technical direction or support to Project Manager and Engineer during design review, installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, or performance monitoring.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in solar energy and construction industries, and integrate them into project designs.
- Play the role of document controller for the master document list and keep track of its transmittal.Assist to procure any required as-built drawings with relevant authorities (BCA, HDB, SCDF etc.)
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in the design and engineering of solar power systems, preferably in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of solar PV technologies, structural components, and system configurations.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, grid integration, and power distribution principles.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in Singapore.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
