**About the Role**:
As Vice President of Engineering, you will guide Wego’s evolution from scale-up to a hyper-growth, public-company-ready organization. Reporting directly to the CTO, you’ll shape and execute engineering strategy across multiple product lines, elevate distributed teams across South and Southeast Asia, and build technical excellence as we expand our 100+ strong Engineering organization.

**Required Qualifications**:
- 15+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years leading organizations of 50-200 engineers at the VP or Director level
- Proven success scaling distributed teams and multi-layer leadership across time zones
- Experience shipping high-traffic consumer or B2B platforms through hyper-growth, scale-up, or pre-IPO stages
- Strong grasp of cloud-native architectures and modern tech stacks (Java, Go, TypeScript, iOS, Android)
- Fluency in AI/ML concepts, particularly LLM-powered capabilities, with real-world product integration experience
- Ability to implement outcome-oriented delivery practices and operational rigor at scale
**Nice-to-Have Qualifications**:
- Domain experience in travel, e-commerce, or other high-volume consumer businesses
- Experience launching B2C products in Arabic-speaking markets
- Familiarity with dynamic pricing, revenue management, or marketplace platforms
