SENIOR/EXECUTIVE/ROBOTICS PROCESS AUTOMATION (RPA) ENGINEER
[What you will be working on]
You will be part of the team in LTA’s RPA Office (RPAO). Working as a team, you will promote, develop and implement RPA and other complementary process automation initiatives across the divisions within LTA. To achieve these, your work will contribute towards LTA’s strategy in maintaining the RPAO as LTA’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) for process automation, which is the “one-stop shop” for all related matters in LTA. As the approach of implementing RPA in LTA emphasises on the contributions by our Citizen Developers (CDs), who are our regular staff, you will play a key role in training, supporting and co-developing RPA with these CDs as they identify and implement their use cases. Either as co-development with the CDs or developing assigned RPA use cases on your own, your work will focus on creating and providing automation solutions by designing and developing RPA bots for unique business requirements. The work scope can include, but not limited to,
- Identifying and communicating the technical infrastructure requirements to
deploy automation solutions.
- Configuring new RPA processes and objects using core workflow principles
that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand using
RPA tools, e.g. UiPath.
- Developing and implementing appropriate quality controls and testing
procedures, troubleshooting and training of RPA bots.
- Working within project planning constraints, communicating any identifying
project risks and issues to the business users accordingly, and providing
inputs to the change control process.
- Creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for pre-UAT phases.
- Supporting the internal stakeholders during the UAT and rollout phases.
- Performing end-to-end testing and troubleshooting of RPA bots, and end-user
support for internal stakeholders.
As such, you will be regarded as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in creating, testing, troubleshooting, and integrating RPA bots into LTA’s business processes, as well as a trainer for onboarding new CDs into LTA’s process automation community.
[What we are looking for]
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science/Management Information
Systems/Engineering or equivalent, with at least 2 years of working experience
in RPA bot development/delivering automation solutions for enterprise-wide
projects.
- At least 1 year of working experience in programming (including
development will be preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge on leading automation tools (e.g. UiPath, Power
Automate, Power Apps, etc.) and excellent software development background
(e.g. C#, C++,.NET, Java, etc.) will also be preferred.
- Working experience with Agile software development methodology will be an
added advantage.
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, MS Project.
- Good analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills to present technical details to internal
stakeholders.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple development projects.
- Strong commitment to professional and service excellence, when working with
multiple parties to achieve the desired automation outcomes.
- Outgoing personality with a flair to interact with people, willingness to lean
forward when needed, and “dare-to-try” attitude.
