**Job Title: School Bus Attendant**:
**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a responsible and caring individual to join our team as a School Bus Attendant. The attendant will assist the driver in ensuring the safe transportation of students between home and school, maintaining order on the bus, and helping students embark and disembark safely.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Student Safety**
- Ensure all students are properly seated with seat belts fastened before the bus starts moving.
- Assist young children in boarding and alighting from the bus safely.
- Ensure that the aisle and exits remain clear during the journey.
- Account for all students on the roster to ensure no one is left behind.
- **Supervision and Discipline**
- Monitor student behaviour during transit and maintain a calm and safe environment.
- Address minor issues and escalate serious concerns to school management or the driver as needed.
- Foster a positive and respectful environment for all passengers.
- **Emergency Preparedness**
- Be familiar with emergency procedures, including evacuation drills and first aid basics.
- Assist the driver and students in the event of an accident or breakdown.
- **Communication**
- Act as a point of contact between the driver, students, and school staff when necessary.
- Provide updates to the school about any incidents or delays during the journey.
- **Vehicle Readiness**
- Ensure the bus is tidy and free from clutter before and after trips.
- Assist the driver in performing safety checks and ensuring the vehicle is in good condition.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to work with young children and manage their behaviour during transit.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
- Good physical health to assist children as needed (e.g., lifting bags, helping with mobility issues).
- Responsible, punctual, and reliable.
- Familiarity with basic safety and emergency protocols (First Aid certification is a plus).

**Working Hours and Compensation**:

- The bus attendant will be required to assist during 3 trips daily, as per the following schedule:

- **Trip 1**:7:30 AM - 9:00 AM
- **Trip 2**:1:30 PM - 2:30 PM
- **Trip 3**:5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
