**Job Description: Supervisor - Metal Recycling Company**

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Metal Sorting and Identification**:Lead and participate in the sorting of ferrous and non-ferrous metals using both manual and automated methods.
Accurately identify and classify different types of metals based on their properties and market value.
- **Product Search and Quality Control**:Monitor incoming materials to ensure quality standards are met.
Conduct regular inspections to identify valuable materials and minimize waste.
- **Operational Supervision**:Oversee daily operations, including the loading, unloading, and processing of metal materials.
Supervise and coordinate the work of team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
- **Equipment Management**:Operate and maintain equipment used in sorting and processing metals, such as magnets, shredders, and balers.
Report and coordinate repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
- **Safety and Compliance**:Ensure all safety guidelines and regulatory requirements are followed during operations.
Conduct regular safety briefings and training for team members.
- **Inventory and Reporting**:Maintain accurate records of sorted materials, weights, and classifications.
Assist in inventory management and provide reports on production and efficiency metrics.
- **Team Leadership**:Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance performance and skill development.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience in metal recycling, with strong knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- Hands-on experience with sorting, identifying, and processing metals.
- Familiarity with recycling equipment and tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in an outdoor/industrial environment.

**Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in recycling or metal processing are a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including supervisory roles.

**Work Environment**:
This role involves working in an industrial environment with exposure to outdoor elements, noise, and dusty environment. Proper safety gear will be provided and required.
